Mar 16, 2017 · Hi gmerry, I can't answer your question, but personally I would drain the engine side by sucking out the coolant via a tube fed deep down from the reservoir. I have a C4 Mk1 hatchback 1.6HDI 16v(92bhp) and did it this way first with an inexpensive (less than £5) hand held manual pump from ebay (after draining the radiator side the usual way by removing the lower radiator hose).

We used to have both a 1.6HDi Focus and a C4. It was the Ford that was in the garage all the time racking up bills for clutches, not starting and electrical faults. And the C4 was more comfortable and used less fuel. So we got shut of the Focus and bought new C4. Which has been as good as the old one.
May 28, 2017 · Hi, I had a similar fault, my car is 2.0 bluehdi 120k miles, 3 years old this month, service light and engine light and urea light on but with system fault and count down from 700mile to shut off, cost me £1100 repair, adblue pump on tank failed, needed a new tank as pump is combines and then reprogramming, same time they replaced the upper tensioner on the Drive belt on a recall (funny thing
